Welcome From The Principal - Jubilee Christian School

Thank you for taking a closer look at Jubilee Christian School!

My name is April Icsman, and I am privileged to be the Principal of this incredible community.  For over 30 years, Jubilee has been the choice of discerning parents in  Pittsburgh, and we think you’ll agree as you browse our website that our students don’t just “go to school” – they set off on an educational adventure each day with the most caring and qualified team of teachers!

In addition to my role here, I am a wife, mother of three grown children, and a lifelong educator with over 25 years of experience in both public and Christian schools. Earning a Master’s degree in education at the University of Akron, I also completed an administrative licensure post-graduate program at the University of Cincinnati, and hold certificates and licenses in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and through the Association of Christian Schools International.

Most importantly, my commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and passion for Christian Education led me to Jubilee. My husband and I are members of Christ Church at Grove Farm in Sewickley and have been involved in the choir ministry as well as serve in small groups. I am also a freelance writer, and my article “God with Skin” was published on CCGF’s blog, https://www.ccgf.org/blog. Another place to find my writings is www.nevelsnotes.com/betweenthelines.

My hope is that as you browse these pages, you will be inspired by the work that God does here at Jubilee. Our biblically-centered integrated thematic curriculum connects what students learn to real-world application and recognition of God as Creator, Redeemer, and Sustainer of all things.

Please feel free to reach out, schedule a tour, or submit an application right here on our website. I would love to connect with you!
